The age at which a dog becomes a senior will vary based on their size, but dogs are considered to be seniors at the age of 7.

What are common senior dog health issues?

The ageing process makes your dog more susceptible to skin problems, heart and kidney disorders, dental disease and osteoarthritis. As your dog ages daily tasks such as going up or downstairs, rising following periods of rest or going on long walks can become more difficult. It is important to modify yours dogs daily routine as needed.

How should I care for my senior dog?
