I grew up on a mixed grain and cattle farm in Viking, Alberta which is a small town in central Alberta. Growing up on a farm I was constantly around animals, from cattle to chickens to cats and dogs. I knew at a very young age I wanted to work with animals. I graduated from Lakeland College in 2016 from the Veterinarian Medical Assistant program. I then took my Animal Science Technology Diploma from Lakeland as well which I graduated from in 2019.
The area of veterinary medicine that I am most interested in is large animal reproduction. I also enjoyed learning about it while I was in college. My favourite part of my job is the small-town vibe from knowing almost all the faces that walk in the door or getting to know the new clients.
A fun fact about me is that I have a dog named Beau which I got from a rescue my first year out of high school.
