Euthanasia is never an easy decision. We are here to assist you during this difficult time.
What is pet euthanasia and how do I know when it’s the right time?
Euthanasia literally means kind death. In animals, euthanasia is intended to end life when there is little or no hope of recovery from illness or injury. The decision to euthanize in animals also must deal with quality of life issues. The bond between you and your dog is very strong, so the decision to euthanize can be difficult. We are here to help. We do our best to provide you and your dog with a peaceful atmosphere to make this experience as comfortable as possible. We facilitate all of the necessary aftercare and have several cremation options available.
Can I say goodbye to my pet in the comfort of our home?
We provide house calls when possible, but we do require as much notice as possible to facilitate this. If your dog has not been seen at our clinic before, we do require a phone consultation with one of our veterinarians prior to scheduling the appointment.
What’s the cost of euthanasia?
The cost of euthanasia can vary dependent on the size of your dog and your wishes for cremation. Please contact us for pricing information.
Does the clinic also provide bereavement counselling?
We do not provide bereavement counselling. If you feel you require this service, we can refer you to a pet loss support group.
