Dr. Steve Novakowski

Veterinarian

I was born and raised in Saskatoon, and I love this city. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology and my degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Saskatchewan. I have spent my entire life investing in our community, working and volunteering with animals and in youth care, and advocating for our society’s vulnerable individuals.

I enjoy music and arts, travelling, eating good food, spending time with friends and family, and watching a game of baseball or basketball. I love making playlists for people and making music with others, and I like to spend my vacations doing anything from wilderness camping to taking in the sights and sounds of a big city. I also love getting out of the house with my Great Pyrenees, Ghost (Goti), who is my pride and joy, or staying in and watching a good movie with her and her older feline sister, Barb (Bubbup). They make the sweetest pair.

My favourite aspect of veterinary medicine is the ability to foster relationships with our clients, which allows me to help them with their pets as best as I can. I enjoy making vet visits positive, informative, and comfortable for everyone, person and pet, while providing high-quality care and medicine. And I also love coming to work every day and seeing lots of furry faces!
